Yes. Mix Elite is a real business: Max founded it in 2018 as FL Studio Tips, a registered company runs it, and the 7-Day course and the Academy both come with a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Who runs Mix Elite?

Mix Elite is run by its founder, Max. He started it in 2018 as FL Studio Tips (FLTips.com). It began as an Instagram page and then a YouTube channel, sharing short FL Studio tutorials.

In November 2023 we changed our name to Mix Elite. It’s the same team and the same channel, just a new name and web address. You can test this yourself. Type fltips.com into your browser, and you land on mixelite.com. The homepage still says “Formerly known as FL Studio Tips.” Here’s the full story of how FL Tips became Mix Elite.

A few more facts you can check:

  • The company. Our Terms of Use name the business behind Mix Elite: INVRTD Sp. z o.o. (INVRTD LLC). They also list its EU VAT number, which anyone can look up.
  • The channel. Mix Elite | FL Studio Tips on YouTube had about 369,000 subscribers and 1,307 public videos on October 6, 2026.
  • The person who answers. Max signs many of our Trustpilot replies himself.

What does Mix Elite sell, and what does it cost?

Prices change, so here is what our own pages showed on October 6, 2026. You can start free and only pay if you want more.

Free: YouTube lessons and downloads

Our YouTube channel is free. So is a full beginner lesson, four and a half hours long, that you can watch further down this page. Sign up on our free downloads page and you get 1.4+ GB of free samples, presets, e-books and cheat sheets.

The 7-Day Music Producer Course: $27

This is our starter course. It costs $27, paid once, and the course page lists 5+ hours of step-by-step training. Each day you finish one step of a song:

  • Day 1: setup, workflow and finding your way around the software.
  • Day 2: music theory, chords and melodies.
  • Day 3: drums and arranging your track.
  • Day 4: mixing, with Max’s “Holy Quad” formula.
  • Day 5: recording and mixing vocals.
  • Day 6: mastering and getting ready to release.
  • Day 7: releasing your music, plus personal feedback on your track from a pro on our team.

It’s taught in FL Studio, but you don’t need to buy any software. The course page says FL Studio’s free trial is enough to follow along. Lessons come by email, one day at a time, and you keep access for life.

Mix Elite Academy: the full membership

The Academy is for people who want everything, plus ongoing help. The Academy page lists:

  • 600+ trainings, from beginner to release-ready.
  • Weekly live coaching calls, with recordings.
  • Unlimited one-on-one feedback on your music from our team.
  • A private members’ community.
  • Every sample and preset pack in the store.
  • Unlimited mastering of your songs, listed as a bonus.
  • 2,000+ quick tip videos and graphics, also a bonus.

On October 6, 2026, that page listed the price as $137 today, then 2 monthly payments of $137. That’s $411 in all, for lifetime access. It comes with the same 60-day money-back guarantee. We also sell single courses and sound packs one at a time on our courses page.

What reviewers praise

  • Clear, direct lessons. Many say Max gets straight to the point and explains things simply.
  • Structure. Several say a full course beat piecing things together from random YouTube videos.
  • The sounds and presets. A couple of reviewers rate our presets above paid plugins.
  • Value. Many say they got a lot for the price.
  • Helpful support. Reviewers describe us sorting out a wrong purchase, a refund and access problems, often with Max answering himself.
  • Skills that carry over. A few use another DAW, the main program you make music in, and say the ideas still apply.

You can read all 74 reviews on Trustpilot. Max answers many of them himself.

What is Mix Elite’s refund policy?

Both the 7-Day course page and the Academy page promise a 60-day money-back guarantee. The course page puts it in plain words. If you don’t finish a track you’re proud of, or you just don’t like how we teach, you email us one word: “refund.” Every cent comes back, and you even keep the sounds and presets.

The full terms are in our refund policy. In short:

  • It covers “all of our individual products within 60 days of purchase.”
  • The money comes back to your original payment method or as store credit.

How to ask for a refund

  1. Email support@mixelite.com, or use the live chat on mixelite.com. Write from the email address you ordered with, so we can find your purchase fast.
  2. Tell us you want a refund. For the 7-Day course, the page says one word is enough.
  3. Do it within 60 days of buying.

Our contact page says we reply within 24-48 hours, Monday to Friday. You can also reach us on the live chat at mixelite.com.

Is it safe to pay Mix Elite?

Payments go through PayPal and Stripe, two well-known payment companies. The checkout takes most cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. Prices are in US dollars, and your card company converts them to your own currency.

The site uses an encrypted (SSL) connection. That means nobody else can read your name, address or card details on the way to us.

Judge the teaching yourself: watch a free lesson

The fairest test is to watch Max teach before you pay anything. This free beginner lesson on our YouTube channel runs four and a half hours. It had more than 1.5 million views on October 6, 2026.

It follows the same order as the 7-Day course and covers Days 1 to 6: gear, FL Studio basics, chords and melodies, drums and arranging, mixing, vocals and mastering. It doesn’t include Day 7, which is about releasing your music, or personal feedback on your own track.

What a lesson looks like

Holy Quad Mixing Formula slide from the free Mix Elite lesson with Volume (1), Equalization (2), Dynamics (3) and Space (4) numbered

Each topic starts with a simple plan, and then Max shows it step by step in FL Studio. For mixing, that plan is his “Holy Quad” formula: volume (1), EQ (2), dynamics (3) and space (4). Space means reverb and panning.

Listen to how he talks about spending money, too. After covering a computer and headphones, Max says, “That’s all the necessary hardware you need to make music. Believe it or not, everything else is totally optional.” When he recommends free plugins, Max adds, “None of this is sponsored.”

Who is Mix Elite for?

The 7-Day course page has its own “This is for you if” list, and it sums up who we built Mix Elite for:

  • You’ve always wanted to make music, but never knew where to start.
  • You’re tired of watching tutorials with nothing to show for it.
  • You have a laptop, and that’s it. No gear, no experience, nothing to buy.

Want ongoing help after your first song? That’s what the Academy is for: weekly live coaching calls, unlimited feedback on your music from our team and a private members’ community.

Is Mix Elite legit and worth it?

Hands on a small MIDI keyboard beside a laptop and studio headphones on a home desk at night

Legit, yes: everything above can be checked. Worth it depends on where you are. If you’ve watched tutorials for months and still don’t have one finished song, the $27 course gives you a fixed order and a one-week plan. You also get feedback from a pro on your track, plus 60 days to get your money back.

Rather learn at your own pace for free? Start with the lesson above and our guide to producing your first song, which follows the same steps. If FL Studio itself is new to you, read what FL Studio is and how it works and see how long it takes to learn FL Studio. And if you have a loop but no song, here’s how to finish a song.

Just keep your expectations honest. Max says it plainly in the free lesson: “Mixing is an in-depth process that takes years to master, but today I have a step-by-step framework that you can follow every time you want to make your track sound better.” A week gets you a finished song and a method. Getting great takes longer, with us or without us.

THE 7-DAY MUSIC PRODUCER COURSE

One week, one finished song, and 60 days to decide

The 7-Day course takes you from setup to a finished, mastered track, one step a day for about 45 minutes. It’s taught in FL Studio, and the free trial works. On Day 7, a pro on our team gives you feedback on your track. It’s $27, paid once, and you have 60 days to ask for a refund.
