FL Tips (FL Studio Tips, fltips.com) is now Mix Elite: same team, same YouTube channel, new name. The FL Tips Full Bundle became Mix Elite Academy, and old fltips.com links now take you to mixelite.com.

Here’s where everything lives now. Mix Elite Academy has it all, just like the Full Bundle did. Single courses are on the courses page, free samples and presets are on the free downloads page, and if you’re brand new to FL Studio, the 7-Day Music Producer Course is the place to start.

What happened to FL Tips?

In November 2023, FL Studio Tips changed its name to Mix Elite and moved from fltips.com to mixelite.com. It’s the same team, led by founder Max, and the same YouTube channel. Only the name and the web address changed.

You can check it yourself. Type fltips.com into your browser and you land on the Mix Elite homepage, which says it plainly: “Formerly known as FL Studio Tips.”

Why the change? In the original announcement, the team said the new name would let them bring “more resources, more knowledge, and more value” to the people who learn from them.

What was in the FL Tips Full Bundle?

The old FL Tips School, the course site FL Tips ran on Teachable before the move, is still online. It describes the bundle in one line: “Get everything in our store – all 7 courses, sample & preset packs, MIDI, E-books, Access to Exclusive Community and more!”

Its course list shows what that meant. It covers FL Studio for beginners, mixing, mastering, chords and progressions, arrangements and music storytelling, plus start-to-finish courses for hard trap, melodic drill and future bass. In short, the Full Bundle was the whole FL Tips store in one purchase.

Where did the FL Tips Full Bundle go?

When FL Tips became Mix Elite, the whole bundle moved into Mix Elite Academy. The announcement put it this way: “We’ve collected everything we’ve ever released throughout the years (previously Full Bundle) and bundled it up into the Mix Elite Academy Membership.”

Want proof? The old Full Bundle link on fltips.com now takes you straight to the Academy page.

The Academy has grown since then. Here’s what the Academy page lists today:

• 600+ trainings, from beginner to release-ready.
• Every sample, preset and MIDI pack in the store.
• Weekly live coaching calls, with recordings.
• Unlimited 1:1 feedback on your music from the Mix Elite team.
• A private community of members.
• Unlimited mastering of your music, as a bonus.
• 2,000+ quick tip videos and graphics, also a bonus.

So compared with the old bundle, you still get every course and every pack, and on top of that there’s live coaching, feedback on your own songs and mastering. It comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee. Prices change, so check the Academy page for today’s price.

One note on names. Other companies sell products called a “Full Bundle” too, and they have nothing to do with FL Tips. The FL Tips Full Bundle was our own collection, and today that’s the Academy.

Where are the FL Tips courses now?

Every subject from the old FL Tips School is on the Mix Elite courses page today, where you can buy courses one at a time. You’ll find FL Studio Beginner to Advanced, State of the Art Mixing, State of the Art Mastering, Chords and Progressions, Arrangements and Music Storytelling, and start-to-finish courses for hard trap, drill and future bass.

There’s more than the old list, too. Newer courses cover RnB, melodic house, tech house, creativity and Logic Pro for beginners.

Free stuff moved as well. Looking for the free downloads from fltips.com? The free downloads page gives you 1.4+ GB of free samples, presets, e-books and cheat sheets when you sign up.

And the FL Tips blog lives here now. It’s being rewritten in plain English, starting with these FL Studio tips for beginners, what FL Studio is and how it works and how long it takes to learn FL Studio.

Is the FL Studio Tips YouTube channel still the same?

Yes. The channel you used to watch as FL Studio Tips is the same one. It’s now called Mix Elite | FL Studio Tips (@theMixElite), with 369K subscribers and more than 1,300 videos. In this 2019 video, back when it still had the old name, Max opens with “Hey, this is Max from FL Studio Tips.”

It shows what FL Tips was known for: small FL Studio tricks most people never find. Here are five of them.

Copy a reverb you love. Max runs a short burst of sound, called an impulse, through Valhalla VintageVerb and records the result in Edison. Then he drags that recording into Fruity Convolver, which plays the same reverb back on any sound without the original plugin. Max’s verdict: “After you know this, I think that you’re not going to use Fruity Reverb 2 anymore.”

Rescue a melody you forgot to record. Max plays a chord progression, realizes he never hit record, and can’t remember what he played. As Max puts it, “there’s a function especially for that.” Open the Tools menu, pick Dump score log to selected pattern (1) and choose how far back to look (2). The notes land in your pattern.

Control FL Studio from your phone. Image-Line, the company behind FL Studio, makes an app called IL Remote. Put your phone and computer on the same Wi-Fi, then switch it on in FL Studio under Options, MIDI settings. You can play, record and even tap in the tempo from your phone, and Max says “I cannot feel any latency.”

Turn audio into MIDI. Open a melody sample in Edison, click the wrench icon and choose Convert to score and dump to piano roll. Then press Ctrl+A to select the notes and Alt+Q to quantize them. It isn’t perfect, so tidy the notes by hand.

Reuse a whole mixer chain. Right-click a mixer track you’ve already processed, open its File menu and drag Save mixer track state onto another track. Every effect copies across at once. Save it as a preset and it’s there in every new project, which Max says “can save you hours of processing if not weeks.”

Bought from FL Tips before? Here’s how to get in

Your access didn’t go anywhere. The announcement promised that past customers “can still get to everything like before; nothing’s changed there.” So log in the same way you always did. If you bought through the old FL Tips School on Teachable, its login page is still online.

Stuck? Use the live chat on mixelite.com or email support@mixelite.com. The store’s FAQ also says past buyers can contact support for a personal discount on a bundle.

Which one should you start with?

It depends on what you want right now. If you’re new to FL Studio and want one finished song, start with the 7-Day course, which takes you from an empty project to a mastered track in about 45 minutes a day. If you want the old Full Bundle experience, with every course and pack plus coaching and feedback on your music, go with the Academy. Just curious? Grab the free downloads and watch a few videos on YouTube.

Whichever you pick, you’ll be learning in FL Studio. Max’s own summary of it is hard to beat: “easy to start, hard to master, popular with beginners and pros.”
