Which software do I need?

Any DAW. The course is shown in FL Studio with stock plugins plus a couple of free ones, and every step works the same in Ableton, Logic, Cubase and others. You also see what the best paid plugins can do, but you don't need them.

Can I follow along in Ableton or another DAW?

Yes. It's shown in FL Studio, but EQ, compression, effects and automation work the same way in every DAW, so you can follow every step in yours. The bonus project files are FL Studio projects, for FL Studio 20 or newer.
